juwi Shizen Energy Inc. (Headquarters: Hongo, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo/Representative Directors: Jan Warzecha, hereinafter “juwi Shizen Energy”) has received an order for EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) for the Sano Tadacho Photovoltaic Power Plant, an approximately 42 megawatt (DC) mega solar power plant owned by the limited liability company Sun Station Hikari X, of which Sonnedix Japan KK and Sonnedix Power Holdings Limited are investors. The contract for the order, the largest order for an EPC project that juwi Shizen Energy has received to date, was concluded on April 26, 2018.
This power plant will be constructed on a site of approximately 1,210,000 m2 located in Tochigi Prefecture’s Sano City. Annual output is expected to be approximately 44,300 megawatt hours (approximately 44,300,000 kilowatt hours), equivalent to the annual electrical power use of approximately 14,900 ordinary homes. Construction work is to start in June 2018 and is expected to finish in winter 2020.
Sonnedix Japan KK, the trusted operator of investments made by Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd in Japan, will perform development and management for this project, while juwi Shizen Energy will be responsible for EPC (engineering, procurement, construction). juwi Shizen Energy Operation Inc.
