About Shizen Foundation
Shizen Foundation was founded by 3 representative directors of Shizen Energy Inc. (Fukuoka-Shi, Fukuoka/Representative Directors: Ken Isono, Kenji Kawado, Masaya Hasegawa, hereinafter “Shizen Energy”) in order to achieve the vision of Shizen Energy, “Changing the World with Energy”, with a different process from energy businesses.
Shizen Foundation is integrating the fund, and not only making donations without seeking any return but also investing to the eligible companies with the aim to support the companies which tackle the wide range of local and social issues. Whereas traditional investment has the concept of an “exit” which refers to financial returns through IPOs and sales, this foundation instead takes a different approach and identifies businesses and organizations who bring about systemic change (change in which initiatives grow and have an impact on social systems an policy) and provides support for the realization of such change. Shizen Foundation is not only providing with funds but also supporting through networks with nationwide companies and government that Shizen Energy Group acquired.
About Kodomo Takushoku
Kodomo Takushoku is the activities started in 2017 in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo to deliver foods regularly to those child rearing families who are in difficult circumstances. Also, it makes the connection with families by taking the opportunities of delivering foods and links it to other activities other than foods while watching over those families. Kodomo Takushoku Supporter’s club is taking an approach to expand “Kodomo Takushoku” from Bunkyo-ku to all over Japan.
Transcending the relationship between people who subsidize and receive, Shizen Foundation is building a relationship with eligible companies as a vision partner who shares vision and ideas for regions and societies. Not being as the one who subsidizes and another who receives it, this is the relationship which both parties set the common goal and work in a coordinated fashion that is making the most of their resources and strength in order to achieve it.
As a first step this time, Shizen Foundation will not only supply funds to the public relations activities but also maximize recognition of “Kodomo Takushoku” towards the key players in the region. Shizen Foundation introduces the activities of Kodomo Takushoku to the local government and relevant organizations in the areas with its business regions (A1) while utilizing the local network with Shizen Energy and it aims to lead to participate “Kodomo Takushoku Meetup (Provisional title. It will be held this autumn and hosted by Kodomo Takushoku Supporter’s club)” which organizations from all over Japan present activities reports and share their know-how. Through the aforementioned activities, Shizen Foundation aims to promote the implementation of Kodomo Takushoku in its business regions.
