Shizen Energy signs collaboration agreement with Mitoyo City to create a decarbonized society
Shizen Energy Inc. (Shizen Energy) and Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, signed a collaboration agreement for the realization of a decarbonized society on November 30, 2023, with the aim of building a sustainable future by promoting Green Transformation (GX) and reducing environmental impact toward the realization of a decarbonized society.
In addition to Shizen Energy, Mitoyo City has also signed the same agreement with Yoshida Oil Co., Ltd, Wave Energy Inc., The Chugoku Bank, Ltd. individually, and the 5 parties together will establish the Mitoyo City Carbon Neutral Council (tentative name).
Background of the Collaboration Agreement
Shizen Energy has been involved in projects such as the “URASHIMA VILLAGE” accommodation facility and the community college “SETOUCHI KURASHI no DAIGAKU” in the Mitoyo area in cooperation with local companies and related businesses. In March 2023, Shizen Energy invested in Kurashi-no-Kotsu Inc., an on-demand transportation service provider, and has been involved in other various efforts to create new local services in education, welfare, transportation, and other areas not covered by the traditional social system through cooperation among private companies, including local companies.
