Shizen Energy Inc. (hereafter, “Shizen Energy”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rana Karadsheh-Haddad as an external director of Shizen Energy, effective March 25, 2025. 

Rana has over 25 years of experience in international investment and finance, and has held a number of senior positions. As Managing Director of Infrastructure in Asia Pacific at CDPQ Singapore, she leads a team of approximately 20 professionals based in Sydney, New Delhi, and Singapore, and manages a diverse portfolio of assets, including ports, toll roads, power generation and transmission networks, social infrastructure, and public transport assets.

The Board restructure will play a crucial role in guiding the company’s strategic direction, fostering innovation, and ensuring sustainable growth.

Shizen Energy, guided by the mission “We Take action for the blue planet,” will collaborate with local partners in Japan and other regions to promote renewable energy and the development of distributed social infrastructure. The goal is to facilitate the realization of a sustainable energy society anchored in local communities.

Rana Karadsheh-Haddad
Managing Director, Infrastructure, Asia Pacific at CDPQ Singapore, Rana has over 25 years of experience in investment and international finance. As the Asia-Pacific Industry Director at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), she led a team of 120 investment professionals. She also served as the Regional Director for Europe, overseeing IFC’s operations across the Western Balkans and the South Caucasus.
Having joined CDPQ in March 2024, she is based in Singapore, where she is responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s infrastructure activities in the Asia Pacific region. She oversees a team of 20 specialists based in Sydney, New Delhi and Singapore, that manages a diversified portfolio of ports, toll roads, electricity generation and transmission networks and social infrastructure and public transportation assets.
