juwi Shizen Energy Completes Construction and Begins Commercial Operations of 26.5MW solar EPC project in Iwate Prefecture
juwi Shizen Energy Inc. (“juwi Shizen Energy”) completed a 26.5 megawatt (DC) EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) project (the “Sonnedix Tanabu plant”) and started its commercial operation.
The development, financing, and construction of this power plant was managed by Sonnedix Japan, the Japanese operator partner for investments made by the worldwide electricity generation company, Sonnedix Group. EPC of the plant was conducted by juwi Shizen Energy, and juwi Shizen Energy Operation will perform the O&M. The annual output is expected to be approximately 33,000MWh during its first full year of operation, equivalent to the annual electrical power use of approximately 7,400 households.
juwi Shizen Energy has completed the construction of power plants amounting to a total of 425megawatts of combined peak output and is currently constructing power plants amounting to a total of 298 megawatts of combined peak output.
juwi Shizen Energy will continue to use the knowledge and experience it has accumulated through its global operations, and aim to contribute to the increased use of renewable energy and the construction of a sustainable society, both in Japan and overseas, by providing EPC solutions that meet the needs of the local areas in which the power plants are constructed.
