Shizen Energy Inc. (“Shizen Energy”) completed a solar power plant(“the plant”) in Otaki village, Nagano prefecture and started its commercial operation.

The plant is constructed on an approximately 3ha sized former ski area located in Otaki village, Nagano Prefecture and the annual output is expected to be approximately 2.9 MWp(DC). Shizen Energy led development and fundraising and juwi Shizen Energy Inc.(Representative director: Jan Warzecha) led EPC(Engineering, Procurement and Construction).

Shizen Energy will lead asset management, juwi Shizen Energy Operation Inc.(Representative director: Tetsushi Hanayoshi, Jan Warzecha) will lead O&M(Operation and Maintenance) after commercial operation starts.

The project site for this project is owned by Otaki Village, and we have been preparing for the start of the project in cooperation with the village. We have also signed an agreement with the village to link this project to the development of a sustainable village, and we plan to use part of the revenue from the sale of electricity from the plant to support education and other community projects in the village.

With the PURPOSE of “We take action for the blue planet”, Shizen Energy Group is committed to building renewable energy power plants around the world and expanding the use of safe and sustainable electricity in order for more people to continue to live happily on this planet. We will continue to accelerate the realization of a “100% renewable energy world” through the development, construction, operation, and maintenance of high-quality, locally-based renewable energy power plants in collaboration with our partners around the world.
